Economists at the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) have been working closely with the growers, agronomists and NRM groups involved in Project Catalyst since its inception. DAF’s role is to help growers develop a better understanding of the costs and benefits of new farm innovations undergoing trials, and give further insight into the impact of management practice change on farm profitability and business risk.
