Introducing the people with passion for Project Catalyst.

The Australian Government is firmly committed to protecting the Great Barrier Reef for future generations and delivering the Reef 2050 Plan. The 35-year plan to improve the health and resilience of the reef is being implemented in partnership with the Queensland Government, industry, scientists and the wider community. Water quality improvements is one of six priority areas identified in the Reef 2050 Plan Investment Framework.
The Australian Government has allocated $210 million through the Reef Trust to deliver targeted investments to address the highest priority threats being faced by the Reef.
Project Catalyst is just one of many Reef Trust projects underway to help manage and protect the Great Barrier Reef. Under Reef Trust Phase III, the Australian Government committed $56 million over four years (from 2015 to 2019) to improve management practices for sugarcane farmers, reduce erosion in grazing lands and improve water quality in grains, diary and horticulture industries. The changes in land use practices are helping to reduce the pollutant loads in the reef.
Coca-Cola is a proud founding partner of Project Catalyst. The company's primary international philanthropic arm, The Coca-Cola Foundation has invested more than AUD $5.96m into Project Catalyst since its inception.
Ten years ago Coca-Cola set an aspirational goal to return every drop of water it uses to communities and nature by 2020.
Project Catalyst played a major role in helping reach this milestone water replenishment achievement five years early.
WWF-Australia partners with governments, businesses, communities and individuals to address a range of pressing environmental issues. Our work is founded on science, our reach is international and our mission is exact - to create a world where people live and prosper in harmony with nature.
We're striving to conserve biodiversity in Australia and throughout the Oceania region. It's a big task and not one we can tackle alone. But together we can.
