These plans will reduce chemicals residues that can enter the Great Barrier Reef catchment and impact on the local and broader ecosystems.
Trials within Project Catalyst have highlighted the benefits of chemical management plans and variable rate application of chemicals for improved farm practices. When combined with soil mapping growers can potentially reduce chemical usage with improved pest management outcomes.
