Maximise crop uptake and minimise nutrient losses to the environment
The development of nutrient management plans on a block by block basis has been shown within Project Catalyst to be beneficial over industry standard practices. These plans will reduce nutrient losses to the environment and the Great Barrier Reef.
The Project Catalyst trials focus on the reduction of nutrient loss from the farm by working to balance the addition of nutrient with the yield potential to ensure that potential reef pollutants leave the farm as intended as sugar cane.
